In restaurants and other food preparation facilities a Grease Trap is installed to trap non-soluble fat and grease and prevent it from entering the sewerage system. Grease Traps need to be emptied and cleaned on a regular basis and All Waste can assist in this process.
Grease Trap waste is collected in vacuum tankers. The waste is transported to a Collection Centre, where it is filtered and screened before the sludge and water are separated. The greases and fats are then formed into bio-solids for disposal in landfill, whilst the water is treated to allow it to be safely disposed of in the sewerage system.
To prevent overflowing of Grease Traps it is advisable to segregate used cooking oil and store it for collection and recycling. By segregating cooking oils from the Grease Trap System, maintenance issues can be reduced and recycling the oil can deliver significant carbon savings and reduce the risks of landfill and water pollution.
We can arrange for your Grease Trap service and ensure compliance with local health and council regulations. The collection and disposal method employed by All Waste complies with Council and State Environmental regulations.
